Raleigh Institute of Biblical Studies was founded in 1995 by Dr. William Suttles.  Dr. Suttles is the Director of the Institute.  He is the President of WPJL Christian Radio in Raleigh, North Carolina and Pastor of Tabernacle Christian Worship Center.  Dr. Suttles's vision was to provide training for many in Christian ministry who have never had the opportunity to go away to Bible college or seminary, but have a serious and sincere desire to be more fully equiped to serve God in their life and vocation.  The courses are designed to deepen one's understanding not just academically, but spiritually as well.  The school has three courses of study which may be taken together or separately.  First is the First Saturday Morning Seminary classes, a certificate program.  The second is the Associates Degree in Christian Ministerial Studies program.  The third is the Christian Life School of Theology.  As a member of the Christian Life Educators Network a student is able to earn all the way up to a Doctor of Theology at RIBS.
Raleigh Institute of Biblical Studies
adheres to a biblical orthodoxy as has been held by the Church historically through the centuries.  Our school is Evangelical with a Charismatic emphasis.

The First Saturday Morning Seminary Classes (FSMS) are three hours in length (9 AM – 12 Noon) and are held on the first Saturday morning of each month.  These classes are designed for individuals in ministry, preparing for ministry or just serious about serving God and desire to expand their knowledge of Spirit-filled Christian service.  The cost is $35 per class ($45 for Live class plus CDs).  A Certificate of Completion is awarded for every 10 classes attended and/or purchased on CDs.

The Associates in Christian Ministerial Studies Classes (ACMS) are three hours in length (9 AM – 12 Noon) held on the second Saturday of each month.  This Associates Degree program is comprised of 20 total classes [consisting of four tracks: Track I: The Ministry of God’s Word; Track II: Discipleship Training; Track III: Revelation & Theology; and Track IV: Spiritual Formation & Christian Engagement with the World  (with 5 classes in each Track)].  There is a Student Response Form which must be filled out for each class in order to complete that class for credit.  The cost for each Live class is $35 ($45 with CDs).  Successful completion of all 20 classes leads to an Associates Degree in Christian Ministerial Studies.  This degree program is designed to provide a proper foundation for anyone in ministry and gives a good ground for successful study for the rest of one’s life and ministry.
